The Inner West loves its dogs. In 2008 it had nowhere good to get them cut.

Between the harbour parks, the dog beaches and the cafes, Glebe has always been a dog suburb. What it did not have was a groomer doing the kind of work local owners actually wanted, so we opened one on Glebe Point Road, opposite the library.

Every groom is booked, never walk-in, so we can talk through what suits your dog's age, breed, coat and temperament before the clippers come out. We wash with natural antibacterial shampoos and finish with a dog-friendly spritz.

Alongside the salon we keep a small shop: leads and harnesses, durable toys, beds, flea, tick and worm treatments, and premium dry and wet food.

Our groomers take their work to the show floor against the best in the country, including GroomQuest and the Pet Industry Association of Australia competitions. The scissor technique that wins on the table is the same technique your dog gets on a Tuesday.

Priced by your dog's weight, because a 30kg coat is a different day's work to a 5kg one. Every groom includes nail cutting, ear cleaning and anal gland expression.

One length all over with a teddy bear face. Hydrobath wash, blow dry, brush out, clipper body and legs, scissor-cut face and head.

Styled scissor cut with a teddy bear or breed-specific head. Hydrobath wash, blow dry, brush out, clipper body, scissored legs, scissored face and head. A Bichon full groom with an Asian or show-style head is $170.
